POSITION SUMMARY

The Product Data Specialist is responsible for creating and managing stock codes, Bills of Material (BOMs), and other types of product data within our SYSPRO ERP system and other platforms.  The Product Data Specialist works collaboratively with other departments to maintain the accuracy of product information related to part usage and cost.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

8:00am-4:30pm 

Product Data Specialist Salary Range: $25.90 - 31.03/hr

Essential Functions Statement(s) 

  • Stock Code Management: Creates and assigns stock codes for purchased parts, made-in-house parts, and finished goods; ensures proper categorization and organization within the ERP system.
  • BOM Creation and Maintenance: Develops, maintains, and updates BOMs to reflect accurate components, costs, processes, and hierarchies between parts.
  • System Management: Ensures data integrity and accuracy within the SYSPRO ERP system, conducting regular audits and updates as necessary. Maintains stock code control databases.
  • Collaboration: Works closely with many departments (including product development, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and finance) to gather information and resolve discrepancies related to product data.
  • Documentation: Maintains documentation of processes related to product data management. Ensures logical naming and numbering schemes within our systems.
  • Data Reporting: Researches, audits, and reports on product data information to aid in decision-making.
  • Training and Support: Trains coworkers on how to access and use product data information from SYSPRO; conducts SYSPRO testing related to stock code and BOM maintenance.

Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.  Minimum 3 years' experience working in ERP systems and/or managing BOMs required.

Computer Skills: Knowledge of ERP systems required. Intermediate-Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite required.  Must be computer literate with the ability to learn new software.

Other Requirements: Must be knowledgeable about guitar parts or play guitar. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus but is not required.
